We believe that learning is happening everywhere, all of the time.

Our passion is to recognize this learning and accentuate it through human-centered design. We envision a city that provokes people to tinker, discover, and play - all in support of their educational pursuits. To thrive in the 21st Century, we need a dynamic and diverse education ecosystem and our city can deliver!
WHAT WE DO
PLAYLIST DESIGN

We make experiential playlists a.k.a. learning adventures. Playlists connect online and real-world learning, providing pathways through our education ecosystem

EDUCATION PLACEMAKING

Whether it's a street, bus stop,
or barbershop - we make places
of learning.

GROWING AN

We help build meaningful connections

between our city's education assets and opportunities

BARBERSHOP TALK

Barbershops, buzzing with clippers and conversation, are fertile spaces where style and concepts cross-pollinate. Gifted with scissors and stories, Barbers cultivate a culture of trust and camaraderie among their clients. They practice active listening and empathy building, creating safe spaces of style. In “Barbershop Talk,” we are going to tap into the educational potential of these unofficial professors in an experiential curriculum about nonviolent communication. 40 Neighborhood youth will be empowered to explore identity, conflict resolution, nonviolent communication, artistic expression, all while learning real world hair styling skills.
